DR. CEFERINA M. P. TARINGTING is currently Professional Lecturer 6 in graduate studies at Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila).

Educational Background

• She finished her bachelor's degree in education major in English and minor in Filipino as Cum Laude from the National University, Manila in 1971.
• She obtained her master's degree in administration and Supervision at the University of the East, Manila in 1981 and her Doctoral degree in Educational Administration from Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Maynila (PLM) in 1993.

Positions Held

She held different positions such as:

• President of the City college of Manila now Universidad De Manila
• founding President, Pamantasan Ng Cabuyao, Cabuyao, Laguna
• Director, Center for University Extension Services and Dean, College of Human Development of PLM
• Chairman of the Board and President of PLM CONCERN foundation, INC.
• Founding Executive director of Association of Local Colleges and Universities (ALCU) and ALCU Commission on Accreditation
• Incorporator of National Network of Quality Assurance Agencies (NNQAA)

International Engagements

• She had been speaker locally and internationally specifically in Singapore, Malaysia, and a recipient of an International Scholarship on Community Education at AARON ONOFRE International Training Center in Jerusalem, Israel.
